About Me

My name is Rionna Ferguson, I own RLF Equine Photography! I have always loved photography for as long as I could remember. My first camera was a Walmart camera that I got from my MomMom! I eventually got the Nikon D3200 kit for my 15 birthday and that kit lasted me YEARS! I finally upgraded to a Nikon D750 two years ago!

My love for the business side of equine photography really started when I had a photo session with my late mare All Red Dee Dreamin! Being able to have pictures frozen in time to keep forever put a fire in me that I didn’t know existed!

In college I majored in Forensic Science which allowed me to explore fields like forensic photography! Being able to study forensic photography not only allowed me to learn the settings and the “exposure triangle” but it also gave me a skill set that most photographers don’t have, to look at the finer details instead of just the bigger picture!

My senior year of college is when Covid started, which is when I started doing small edits for friends here and there, which eventually led to designing ads and logos. After designing ads for two years I finally took the leap and became an official business! I am 100% self taught and the only photographer and small business owner in my family!
